If you encounter the following error “DLLNotFoundException: HAR DLL file is missing” (in Interhaptics SDK 1.0.6 or lower) that means that one or more DLL files is missing from your PC.
Some DllNotFoundException: HAR assembly errors might appear in the Unity Editor console. These will not impact the building of the XCode project and should be ignored.
This issue might appear if the XCode build has been done on another PC/Mac and then copied to another Mac to compile the app build. The simple solution is to build the XCode project on the same Mac.
These are some known issues which will be addressed in future Interhaptics Engine/SDK updates.
On some iPhone models, haptics are blocked from playing. This issue appears on a minority of the iPhones tested (~15%), however it is not locked to certain models. So, if a haptic feedback coming from the Interhaptics SDK might play cleanly on a testing model (i.e. iPhone 14), that doesn’t mean that it will play the haptic feedback on all the iPhone 14 models. The issue is independent of the iOS version used.
On the Meta Quest 2/3, the continuous haptic feedback might have small pauses in between. The issue will be adressed in the next update of the OpenXR and Meta Quest providers.
